Default Another newbie...

Hey all,
Just bought an '88 S12 about a month ago.
She's Auto, a bit rusty and has 100k on her.
So, I'm looking at an SR20DE or CA18DE swap, as turbos and me don't get along too well

If any of you can help me in my quest to find a manual box, engine, loom and ECU for a naturally aspirated thing then I would be your biggest fan.

I also have a spare CA18ET and autobox for now. Hope I can help here and there

Welcome!

Posted some gearbox/diff info here: http://nissansilvia.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?t=6158

However, if you're feeling adventurous, the RX8 6spd gearboxes and carbon fibre prop shafts can be had CHEAP. No idea if they're anywhere close to fitting but people have been sticking them in Escorts as a Type 9 replacement for a few years now - and that means adapter plates for various engines should be plentiful. F20C engine and an RX8 'box would be a nice first for an S12

Hi!

Sadly there is not much traffic on this site but good luck in your quest.
