Default 6x9's

does anyone know if 6x9 speakers fit in where the original crappy speakers are under the grilles in the back? i have some from my old car but havent tried fitting them as yet

also if they dont, does anyone have a spare parcel shelf (just the small seperate bit that doesnt move should be all i need) that i could have - maybe for a small fee?

thanks

rob

I fitted them using some mdf base plates in the std location and mounting them in them. Other people just use the smaller parcel shelf section.

I think Dr_Silvia got a better sound quality and easier fit in the original location using diferent speakers rather than the 6x9 route. Although he has a sub to back up the bass and volume side of things.

i have now fitted my speakers, i used the small parcel shelf section, as the speakers i have (which have been used in my previous cars) didnt fit in the original positions, without removing the grille(which kinda defeated the object of putting them there in the first place!)
