Had a word with the auto-electrician this morning and it looks like the coil had had it so that's been replace with another type along with the ignition amplifier and converted to run on the new type. Also the pulse rate sensor is being replaced so fingers crossed it should be on the road friday.

Check the larger of the 2 white multiplugs down by the coil for corrosion or a broken wire as this was the problem with my car not starting and sounds the same as what yours is doing.

It was deffinately the coil ect these have been replaced and the car fired up while I was there the only thing that needs sorting now is the fueling which apparentley is over fueling at the moment. I hope to hear more this afternoon.

you could go for an msd setup www.msd-ignition.com
theres a place called real steel in uxbridge that can get the parts. MSD units can be had off ebay too, I know this is a fairly common choice with the modded honda's

Yep my old man has MSD on his corvette.:)

Unfortunately not cheap. I will help my mate fit a Mallory system to his turbo beetle which has boost retard, so he can retain good bottom end torque

What else did you replace other than the coil?

Ronin 26-01-2006 17:50

So for the Auto-electrican has replaced to coil, ignition module and the pulse rate module? the bit that reads the pulse rate to the injectors.
It's being a slow job as the boss is doing it himself and he only works monday, wednesday and friday, he's never there when I go round or phone and no one else seems to know exactly what's happening with it:mad:

 I thought you said the car was running now and all that it needed was a fuelling issue sorting out?

Ronin 26-01-2006 18:38

I went round there yesterday morning and I was told that the fueling needed sorting and that was the last I heard, it was fired up while I was there but the guy doing it wasn't. Hopefully I should know more tomorrow.

Did they say why they thought there was a fuelling problem?
