and for this last one the wiper blades are always set pretty high, so how do i set them lower so they are at the bottom of the windshield???? and the back one doesnt work, anybody ever change one before? is it hard?

The front wipers are on a small toothed spline for which you have to remove the wipers and simply move them to what posistion you want.

As for the back it could be a number of things including the wiring to the motor or the motor itself, swapping the motor is not a hard job atall:)

akira2_03 30-05-2006 03:15

well the front wipers are hard because there are the rods attached underneath and i dont know where to disconnect it. and the back one i ne ver tried or seen what it looks like under the cover but doesnt it have the rods there too?

turbomike 30-05-2006 07:20

you dont have to mess with the rods underneath,at the base of the wiper arm itself there is a single nut which probably has a press on cover over it,take the nut off then pull the wiper arm off the spline and readjust where you like, same on the back

oh i see. thanks for the info

the wiper arms may be stuck on there really tight. Don't be afraid to use lots of force and wiggling to get them off.

s13eater 30-05-2006 09:13

its a 14mm spanner you will need, just put some pressure on the bottom of the wiper arm with your thumb, so when its undone it keeps the pressure even on the spline, then lift with the other hand, this will stop you trying to lever it off and break things;)
