wheel spacers for the rear?

does anyone know what would be the biggest size wheel spacers i could fit on the rear with 7 inch width rims? taken the whole units apart on mine and looking to get 25mm spacers like the front but dont know whether it will foul the arch????

Depends soley on the offset of the wheel...

RichardK 27-02-2007 10:01

I have 25mm spacers on the rear with 215x35x18 and it's spot on :)

Yeh but if they're 15 offset wheels for example they are gonna be damn close as it is.

We need to know the offset :)

RichardK 27-02-2007 10:06

Oh yeah forgot to mention they are 38 offset :)

doski 27-02-2007 17:35

yea they are et 45

30psi 27-02-2007 20:20

Well you could probably use up to 25mm spacers. Best see how much clearance you have, as camber will effect the clearance

yea i have a set of h&r hubcentric wheel spacers that bolt on and have 4 studs off them, while i have the rear hubs apart i need to work out if should get longer wheel studs or the same set of spacers as the front>???

RichardK 28-02-2007 10:14

I have longer studs on mine.

Very glad I bought these as they have loads of thread where as the standard ones are very short.

im after some if you have 2 going spare

doski 28-02-2007 22:39

no dont have any spare, have one set on the front and just dont know if to get the same on the rear?

PukkaSilvia 28-02-2007 23:09

getting 10mm extra for the rear spacers than you have on the fronts wouldnt be a bad idea:)

Im going for 15mm on the front and 25mm on the rear. Luckiy i wont be doing too many miles in my s12 from now on so my wheel bearings will last a while. They will be under more stress now due to my crazy track width

I am a little concerned that my car will have that odd tramliney "bobbling" feel if I widen the track too much.. looking at 50mm spacers with s40 BBS crater rims 16x7 ET 43. Unless get some different rims with less offset, but with the current set up, I'll need 50mm to get clear of the spring because of my homemade adjustable bilstien struts! If I go to 2 1/4 springs I'll get plenty of clearance though.. so could theoretically get down to 25mm of spacers..

I suppose I'll have to dig out alan staniforths book again... damn my bad memory... too blummin old...

How does the front end feel with 25mm spacers on each side??
