turbo's
t28gtrs or t3/t34? opinions please
Use all three..... some how :wack
funny you should mention that as i was looking to see if i could fit a supercharger too. zero lag:D
rekon if i convert the power steering to an elec set up i'd have the space. need management and plenty wedge to go that route. be mental though...... |
Do It Do It Do It Do It Do It Doititdooogitotitittiddoo..........it :D
T28 ease of fitting & retain standard manifold
A roller bearing coswoth type t3 would be pretty awesome
Turbo
T3 all the way for me, used bigger it was a massive laggy beast but fooking unreal on boost lol:D :D
t34 on mine was'nt laggy , but the exhaust housing on mine was slightly smaller than ken's.

i got a t28 on mine is a lil laggy if ur cruising along then decide to toe it but does give a good old kick on boost n mines been runing 12psi for a while now with ease is rather simple to fit jst need a s13 elbow and a boost elbow n ur away i had to also kit 2 lugs off of the gearbox for it to fit aswell!! well worth the labour thou :D:D:D:d
i run a garret gt28r on my det motor and found it really good but should be even better at 300bhp:D :D
arh 4got to mention i also had to make a nipple for the actuator pipe where the bleed valve goes as the t28 didnt have one as they are on the boost pipe after the turbo!
i used a brake line nipple and drilled a hole in the elbow after the turbo works a treat lol |
i used to have a t25 running 15psi. it lasted for a while and pick up was great but i drove flat out one hot day after forgetting to put the dipstick back in! the cloud of smoke was kinda a tell tale sign. i still have it and a t28 with oil seal gone just not sure to get them rebuilt or exchange for new turbo from someone like turbo technics
