ask 30PSI hes got an s13 one on his motor, hes also done the how to for it if im right.

toney200sx on the sxoc had on for sale last week for 50 quid, he's at rotherham, you will need to put the inners of the slip diff onto your crown wheel and use the s12 diff case, then you need 2 passengers side shafts, one of the shafts you take 8mm off of the end with a grinder, then deepen the groove to take the split ring, the other shaft has the end taken off and the s13 drive shaft end put on.

Shaun your starting to sound like magpie martin :1la
|
oh no:D
|
Who will make LSD for s12 will be rich for sure.
Even the one who make a s12 VLSD kit, driveshafts customized + s13vlsd. |
s13 slip diff is better than no slip diff.;)
|
Rich?
Depends how much people wanna pay for them don't it? Very few would pay much for one to be honest. Except for you Alundra:) |
Thanks it those days i'm very busy to go a trip on London.
30psi idea and setup is a good start: first to learn how a s12 with vlsd is different and after a LSD clutch type of s13 for drift use. P.S: Where is the group buy? :D |

No one is really interested in at a price I would think it would be worth my efforts for. |
Okay, I hear a lot about how the VLSD sucks. I know there are multiple type so LSD. VLSD, LSD, Clutch LSD... iono... can someone give me a run down on them and which one is the best?
|
People that say VLSD suck aren't really using the correct diff in the 1st place to be honest. They prob want to do doughnuts in a car park or something:rolleyes:
A 1.5 or 2 way clutch type is approx £600. This is the best option but is beyond my price bracket. If you want to drift then weld it. My VLSD will have the car sideways in the dry. The VLSD gets hot and its viscous coupling loosens off allowing the inside wheel to spin. If you want to combat single wheel spin and nicer control when in a 'grip' situation the VLSD is brilliant If you go from an open diff to a VLSD, you'll think its good. If you go from a VLSD to an mechanicall 2 way diff, you'll think that its so much better. |
Weld up the original diff
Hi,
Has anyone welded the original diff at all and how successful was it ? Stephanie s12 (Edinburgh) |
Its fine in a way. Its awful for slow speed manaeovres etc and does create a fair amount of initial understeer.
If you are focused on drifting 90% of the time then weld it, its 2nd best to a 2 way diff. |
still could do with one, i havent been on for a few weeks as tiscali have been dicking my broadband around..
noticed there was one for sale with all the parts needed to bolt strieght on.. driveshafts etc... dos any one have another or can knock a set up one & gimmie a price cheers |
