also half way thru my sub & amp set up which will be in soon just waiting on the acoustic carpet to arrive, willpost a more pics soon. Let me know what you think?

well the rear parcel shelf incorporating where the original speakers went is pretty tidy They look like infinity speakers? I think i have the same ones. Im not a fan of 6x9 speakers but there a good all-rounder if your trying to keep costs to a reasonable level

bigtim 31-03-2007 22:30

i like that design as well

Cheers guys, yer going for the simple tidy look. The 6x9's are JBL ones & like you say a nice all rounder, got a couple of amps & a Audiobahn sub going in but once again nothing too special as I am keeping cost's done as would rather spend mnoey else where. Hope to have the ammp & sub set up done by Wednesday.

A couple of pics of the subwoofer & amp unit i made for the silvia, made it so it would fit in between the arches & designed so stuff can be chucked in the boot without damaging the amps or wires.

setup looks tidy but the amps need air space for cooling.i have my amp screwed onto the back of the seat, with a quick release so that i can remove the sub if i need to use the boot.i will be upgrading my sound system soon to a custom made system as that is what i do for a living.i've only got one of the door builds built so far so i will post some pictures once i have finnished.

Cheers mate, yer i know what you mean but don't worry not that you can see it too well but the amp & lid have a gap to allowing breathing also there not running alot anyway so doesn't get all that hot.

PukkaSilvia 17-05-2007 23:50

:( last year after jae my amplifier cooked in my boot as it got hot under the gazebo..........

Looks tidy, Audiobahn are a nice choice, Is that a 10" sub?

James H 18-05-2007 15:55

Nope a little 8" sub, like i said nothing big but as you said Auidobahn are pretty good so delivers well for its size.

.. and the duvets, pillows and everything else we hurled in prior to our trip home:D it took quite alot for that amp to protect itself..

there appears to be sufficient room for breathing there, as long as the air can travel along the fins it will perform as desired, very neat too!:)

one word of warning though, maybe get a grille for that sub, i've had some worrying moments where i've nearly pierced mine (thank god for aluminium cones!)
