turbo on fire

finaly got my 84 ca18et running after 1,5 years when it just wouldnt start,
today ive set te ignition timing to 15deg bdp.

and it feels like its retarded too much , even the turbo and manifold get so hot it actually caught fire,

it never seemd to have this problem before when it ran but i remember my buddys old 84 used to have the same problem,

another thing is that on both my s12's the was a resistor solderred between the water temp sensor and ive always found this odd, seemd like they were trying to cheat a sensor.

is this a more common problem ? or could this be the knock sensor?

runs pretty good without tortching itself, had too adjust to arounf 17deg bdp.
