The caster indeed improves the stability and makes the car handle "like I want it to handle". Difficult to explain... Although you can't just point at one detail and rule the way a car handles...

Very stable under braking, and can overbrake even some lighter cars sometimes so can't complain. And shitloads more caster than standard, no way you could drive that thing fast without a good power...
