...although with mine, it's more the torque converter slipping in O/D during lockup. Makes it a right pain to overtake on the motorway.

the bluebirds did have some stuff the s12 didn't over here which might be worth pinching. things like the extended warning lamp strip, time control units and electronically adjustable suspension.

So finally got round to swapping the stock S12...

So finally got round to swapping the stock S12 wheels off my donor and onto my daily - problem solved. Not entirely sure what it was about the S13 wheels/tyres but but she no longer tries to tug me...

Are there any downsides to disabling lock-up on the auto box?

I can't accelerate properly in overdrive when lockup is engaged, feels like it's slipping, nasty vibration.

What kind of MPG do you guys normally see around town and on a run?

I've done 70 miles over the last week, 90% stop/start town stuff and averaged about 15MPG.

Fuel reg is FSE, pump is Walbro,...

The auto box *should* be a Jetco 4N71 variant, the L4N71B.
