If the clutch disk is stuck try rocking the car backwards and forwards (as northerner says). You need to do this with the engine switched off and the car in third gear. I had to do this with my Dad`s old A40 last year after it had been stood for 12 months

If the slave cylinder seals are shot, the pedal usually goes light or drops to the floor. If the piston in the cylinder is stuck, then the pedal is normally rock hard and can`t be pushed down.
Have you had the engine or gearbox out at all. Because the clutch may be mis-aligned.
