If the clutch disk is stuck try rocking the car backwards and forwards (as northerner says). You need to do this with the engine switched off and the car in third gear. I had to do this with my Dad`s old A40 last year after it had been stood for 12 months
![]() If the slave cylinder seals are shot, the pedal usually goes light or drops to the floor. If the piston in the cylinder is stuck, then the pedal is normally rock hard and can`t be pushed down. Have you had the engine or gearbox out at all. Because the clutch may be mis-aligned. Hope some of this may help ![]() Regards, Ian.

went to fit it and have broken the end of the copper pipe. Bloody typical.
Has anyone got one of these in good nick they are willing to part with? Or can make one on short notice? I don't really wanna buy a flaring kit for one pipe? |

Ok finely got the copper pipe. fitted the pipe which is a brilliant fit.
Have now come across yet another problem. I am trying to bleed this clutch but every time the pedal goes down it stops and you have to pull it back up, is that normal? If or am i doing it wrong or any suggestions. Thanks again for your help so far Paul |
