Default Alternator

my fu*kin alternator has packed up again its not charging the battery for some strange reason n reali pissing me off checked alll wires n earths etc cnt find a fault anyone had as problem wid alternator before?

Default As suggested on msn

a common fault on the s12 is that the charge wire from the alternator becomes corroded and causes resistance or even brakes.Mine did this,.

you should check the output directly from the alternator rather than just at the battery next


what i did to both was just run a new charge wire from the nut on the side of the alternator to the + terminal on the battery


thats my first guess at your problem, give it a go and get back to me

tried that no luck ive sent ANUTHA alternator away for recon n that b wid me tomoz too c if that makes a difference i also noticed that the petrol lite and handbrake lite stays on wen i take key out so for some reason i have no idea why!! cor this is doin my head in

I fitted a new alternator and ever since the petrol and handbrake light has stayed on after i take key out..did you find out what was causing this ??
