tried that no luck ive sent ANUTHA alternator away for recon n that b wid me tomoz too c if that makes a difference i also noticed that the petrol lite and handbrake lite stays on wen i take key out so for some reason i have no idea why!! cor this is doin my head in

tell me about it lol shudnt lauff reali im carring 2 batterys around so i make it home n k to work lol i hate wiring grrr

Its workin now yay i borrowd a mates alternator n all is fine atm at least i have a car back i wonder how long it will last thou!

I fitted a new alternator and ever since the petrol and handbrake light has stayed on after i take key out..did you find out what was causing this ??

arh well i didnt find out directly why this was happening but i did find out it was killin me battery n i cured it by fiitin a different alternator so im guessin it was actually the alternator at fault

That's interesting, looks like the shop sold me the wrong/faulty alternator. I suggested this but the owner started mumbling about faulty relays so i left it. Strange thing is it charges the battery no problems but the ignition lights staying on with the key out is annoying. cheers for info

mine done this again last nite how strange i checked the alternator n bat this mornin and all is fine i got in car switched it off n they went out hymmmmmm lol
the only relay is the resister on the back off the alternator other then that there is no more inline is there? im sure!

I cleaned the loop terminals back to bright copper on the alternator and engine earth straps when i was changing my head and clutch over and it's been perfect since ..so might be worth doing
