Default just bought my first s12

hi everyone just bought an s12 always liked them .i already have a s13 but is of the road and needs a lot of work to get her on the road. i just had a mad moment the other day and bought the s12 from ebay for £150 traveled from glasgow to hampshire (mad i know) but you just cant get them up in scotland . think the turbo is on its way out as it is smoking going to replace it with my t 25 from the s13 and see if that helps it also has a welided diff which i will replace (good for driftdays but not much else ) i have noticed that some one posted about it on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-SILVIA-...QQcmdZViewItem
does any one know the car or have owned it in the past ?

cheers andy

Quite a lot of us have travelled a fair distance to pick up our s12s in the past

With an s13 for spare parts you should be able to make quite a nice s12 as the alloys, turbo, engine, vlsd, gearbox etc are all compatable. All info is available with the forum search feature

Welcome

Its nice to know in a sense that your kind of restoring it rather than turning into a drift machine like some people choose too, nothing against this offcourse but there also nice to see with full interior.

I agree on the welded diff as i didnt enjoy the ride on the few ive driven with welded diffs.

The s13 diff does not drop straight in although using parts from s13 and s12 diffs you can make a vlsd as members such as 30 psi has done in the past. He is the man to ask about this as ive not yet made one up

hi mate the exhaust is loud (annoy the neighbours loud ) but has a nice note to it as for the future my plans were to put the back seat back in replace the wielded diff and tidy up but already im starting to think of things to do to it i dont think i could put up with the diff can u put a s13 lsd diff straight on or do you need to mod it ? what ever i do it will be performance mods i will be keeping the look of the car as standard as possible though i like the look of the spoiler in your sig

cheers andy
