Intercooler Piping
Im in the middle of fitting a small front mount bar and plate intercooler but am unsure as to what diameter pipe is best? Im thinking of keeping it to 51mm or 2" as the lenght of the pipe work will be quite long.
What do you guys think? |

i used 62mm pipe on mine as it was what i could get hold of cheaply. I used a good size pace IC, it worked fine with no extra noticeable turbo lag

So you dont think 51mm will be too narrow for 200bhp? Its the same diameter as the original pipe that runs from the turbo to the t.b.

Just changed from T2 to T25, had 63mm on T2 and gone back to 51mm on T25 just because it was easier and I had the pipes laying around FREE.
Not sure what difference it would make maybe some scientific member could give us the low-down on airflow calculations. wacomuk like how you have mounted your radiator, did you tack tabs on the end of your radiator or just bolt it straight on? |

With the 51mm on the T25
How does the car feel with the 51mm on the T25 and what boost are you running?
If its good enough for a T25 a T2 shouldt be a problem. |

Car feels very strong on 51mm with T25, I'm running 12PSI as I haven't changed it as yet from the T2 I was running.
Well chuffed with the feel of uprating to a T25 |
