s12 heads are poo, they need skimming always without exception in my and others experience

well the car is off the road for the winter now, got spare head which will get a cam in and head skimmed and flowed to suit the cam. happy days

I dont understand from your posts if you changed the thermostat or head gasket and youve mentioned swapping heads

Well he holed a piston a while back i think so i imagine he took the head off and put it on a different bottom end.
Have you done a compression test? I predict it will blown again as Every ca18et ive known that hasnt had the head skimmed on hg replacement has blown the hg again with a few thousand miles at the most.

ally heads can warp just by taking them off incorrectly. its always advisable to surface a ally head before refitting

i thought that u only had to skim the head if the gasket blows, not if changing it. i have a spare head i can use and swap manifolds
