dvla total tossers
i've lost my sil1092 number plate, because i can't transfer the number to mine unless i take the car for inspection, which is impossible because there's no feckin engine in it, apparentley they inspect every car over 15 years old, so really what they are saying is a test certificate is'nt worth the paper its printed on.

Seams odd, esp if I recall you ve had that no for quite a while now.
I have a private plate on one of my cars, which is 21 yrs old now, & i ve not had any come back ref inspection for it. Is it cause your is so moddified perhapes? I read an artilcle in Jan 'Pratical Classics' Mag. A Guy imported an 1951 MG TD. it needed a completed rebuild. He had problems getting the DVLA inspecter to come out & check the car over, I supposed so he could get it registered. He ended up trailering the car to DVLA, & then they only lifted one corner of the cover so as to check out the chassis no. They certainly like making things difficult for every one. Any chance you could just drop any old S12 engine in just to get it inspected Daz |

i sold the engine to rich kimble and i have no old engine to put in,plus it was on omex ecu, which i sold to adzs along with the loom. so i've fucked it.it would cost to much to trailer to the place, say i did trailer it, they said it could affect the decision with no engine,so i could do all that for them to say no.
