Ok mate. im just trying to look after a friend of mine. What front mount intercooler have you got to go in? are you going to getting rid of the mechanical radiator cooling fan too?
Do you not thing the car came on along way in the few months that it was down this way? It was far from finished but it saved you alot of panelwork etc. It must of been like a different car when you got it back ![]()

I wasnt too impressed when we picked it up from you that you forgot to tell us it had to be started with a screwdriver or did it not having an ignition barrel slip your mind

i did actually say to brad in a msn convo that it needs a full lockset, wouldnt that make u think it needed one??
anyway lets not get into this again, back onto topic. what actuall work needs to be done to make this fit from a std t2 to a t28, ive got the exhaust flange, pipe for oil lines, what abuot water?? and does that lug need to come off the gearbox or will it be ok?

![]() You need to remove the lug yes because the downpipe interferes with it, what oil line have you got as a std t2 one wont fit, water lines is up to you really but hardly anyone bothers with them as its basically hot water cooling the turbo so seems pretty pointless in my opinion.

ill use the oil lines that are still on the turbo, cut them and run some hose to the s12 oil feed, happy days, think i mite just take the water pipes out of the equasion. as u say no point in cooling a turbo with warm water, but surely it helps????

thats a damn good stainless exhaust you got there rob. it only needed the new backbox welding on.I also put a set of mint doors and wings off my mk2 onto it. it had a new mot on it too.
![]() ![]() water lines are not essential. there supposed to be there to reduce heat transfer from the exhaust housing to the compressor housing and increase turbo life. If you let your turbo cool down after a hard drive and your engine oil warm up before you boot it you shouldnt have any increased problems with durability
