I did find the standard ones to be a pain and one of mine split in the past. £40 is not too bad either

Why aren't you make those things more longer to go directly next intake manifolid?

Due to the material they're made of (PTFE) it won't bend around sharp angles, hence as they are they sweep nicely behind the engine and are joined to the rubber hoses
