Very good tip. i like that too
![]() HT leads failing under load could be another possibility, Or your ignition timing could be out

sounds like a boost leak, really lean at idle and seriously rich on boost

Thanks for the replies
. I tryed checking for leaks with the gas lamp but that didnt show anything up. Engine runs fine on normal boost so I figure the fuel pump isn't supplying enough fuel...I did a check and it pumps about a litre pop bottle full in 30 seconds . ..I guess my next move is to fit the walbro 255 fuel pump in case mine is getting tired and starving the engine of fuel at high boost

well i have similar problem, it starts to misfire under presure at 3000rpm
bu then all of a sudden it could go away for a second and then its back. it was running on denso plugs, so i changed them to the ngk gaped them and the problem got worse, ive checked for boost leaks as said, and i replaced all plug leads inc king lead. now this is the max power silvia so i dnt know whats done to the engine, the wireing is in a mess and ive replaced some of it. any ideas? |

Problem solved
..popped in a new set of BCPR7ES's gapped 0.9mm last night, turned the boost back up and the missfire/flatspot had gone away completely. Plugs looked nice biscuit brown colour and had only done 3k miles or so . Thanks for all help , probably saved me cost of a new fuel pump and intercooler
