hate to be a spoil sport but you are just asking for trouble and an excuse for them to book you if they see you doing anything they dont like but prove they will look for things like number plates instead.

The DVLA lists the specs http://www.dvla.gov.uk/vehicles/numb...ion_marks.aspx document INF104 shows you the fixed typeface that all plates must now display on UK roads
