i don't trust those electric pumps, i know the lad with the big bhp skyline, had a elec water pump on his 400bhp mk1 golf, that fecked up and cracked the block.tbh, i wish that nissan did an uprated internal pump, i wun't mind paying big money for it, but only one thats better, is the turbo fj pump and the aussies change them.

The advantages of an electric pump driving the power steering is being able to move the steering easily without the engine running, or if you want to drive the water pump then you can continue to cool down the engine after its been run. Most of the hi power V8's use these to manage the cooling better. These pumps are bolt-on for V8's, I don't know anything about the generic ones

ahh i thought you was on about a electric oil pump.
