The Sunday controversial thread.
Here`s one that I think all you F1 fans will have a view on .
What do you think about the current situation with "trade secrets" being supposedly passed from one team to another ? Do you think teams should be penalised for receiving information about other teams from past employees ? Or is it just a case of "well that happens in all major industries", it`s just a part of the sport ? Do you think it`s fair that a team could potentially be docked points in the constructor`s championship ? Or do you think there`s too much "politics" already in F1 and aren`t really interested ? What do you all think ? Regards, Ian.

Surely you don`t mean the pinnacle of motorsport .
I thought all petrolheads were into F1 . I only really watch it for the tasty grid girls . Regards, Ian.

i'am not into f1, but i've watched a few the other month, only due to the lack of any other motorsport coverage on tv , its either cricket, football or damn tennis , a load of balls .

i did start watchin it, but somehow, i've missed it the last couple of weeks, it seems a bit more interesting since alonso has had lewis to keep him on his toes.

Don't get me wrong the technology and skills involved are second to none and if I was involved with it I'd be elated. However to watch, it's just plain boring. GP2 knocks spots off it for excitement mainly because the drivers aren't reined in by all the technology involved! If it was a one make sealed engine/driver aids type series where only driver skill and a good setup came into play then I'd be a lot more interested, like the Formula Palmer Audi, Formula Renult or A1GP (just can't be bothered to pay for the Sky subscription to watch it!). It's frustrating to watch drivers like Jensen Button, who seems to be one of the better drivers out there, continue to finish down the bottom of the pack purely because Honda can't provide him with a car to match his abilities

I know exactly what you mean, for technology and glamour it`s second to none. Hopefully one day I will have the spare cash, and time, to actually be able to go to a few live races .
I used to prefer it back when Damon Hill was World Champ, when the drivers could actually overtake. All the safety devices now (grooved tyres etc) do seem to have taken the edge away now. You don`t see as many wheel to wheel challenges these days. GP2 and BTCC can be superb for the track action and I do agree that all F1cars should be equal in spec. Then it`s just down to driver skill . If I were Jensen Button, I would be seriously thinking about a move to a different team, if Honda don`t step up a few notches before the end of the season. I think Lewis has brought a lot more British fans to the sport too. It`s good to see someone mount a challenge to the other veteran drivers . For value for money, I love to watch Autograss racing. Last year, it cost me £3.00 to watch a full afternoon`s racing. Plenty of crashes, overtaking and the noise and smell of it . Not had chance to see any yet this year, I`ve been to busy . Regards, Ian.
