Default What MK s12 do I have?

Can someone give me a quick guide on the different s12's available.

What defines a MKI and MKII? I have a 1989 s12 so am presuming this is a MKII. The MKII is not the s13 I gather?

Also I am after a wing, will it matter if I choose MKI or MKII?

Are most MKI and MKII parts interchangable?

Thanks

Mk2 is what ya have. Nearly everything is interchangeable. You will be able to use the different wing but the bump strips are different. There may be a small difference in how the sidelights are held as well

so an MKII wing would be ideal if possible, but the MKI is not impossible to fit either just a little more tidying required.

Mechanically how do they differ? Gearbox? Engine? Mounting points?

Is there any newer nissan engines that would bolt straight in? Or would I need a mount kit?

Thanks for your reply

Mk1 has a different gearbox and prop. Smaller bumpers and flatter bonnet.

The turbo oil feed is taken from a different place.

The S13 200sx engine is a direct replacement.
