ok sorry to bump old thread, but season is now nearly over (just Castle combe left on oct 20th) and i realise that i never put up power figs even though a few asked.
spec is as can be seen in the earlier pics, basically forgies, steel rods, lightened + balanced everything, autosprint cam, CNH Diy headwork, cut'n'shut DET tubular manifold with external wastegate and turbo technics T28 hybrid.
engine made 282bhp and 266lb/ft at 15psi boost
have the printout from Dave Walkers Emerald dyno (PPC mag tech guy) somewhere if anyones interested.

impressive figures Craig, similar to what I'm going to try to hit but with a few different methods. have you got any idea of the spec of the autosprint cam? I'm chatting to them at the moment

not idea on specs really. i took geoff (Mr Autosprint) a Piper one and he based his 'special' on that. it has an asymetric profile ans the one side of the cam lobe is flat. a trick from some of his ford cams apparently. works great tho, breathes much better at high revs but then so does the piper.

That is a very impressive figure at that boost level on a t28 hybrid. Well done.

I have a piper at the moment and its extreme to say the least but I want to try other things too i'll have to compare my graphs to yours if i ever get the engine in a car

Well done getting that figure with what some consider low boost

i just think all the mods are well matched hence the 'low' boost. i think that turning the boost up another 5-8psi wont make much difference as i think the 8v head design starts to become restrictive as S13eater forund out, probably just raise charge temps a fair bit. Great on track though

How did you get on at the last couple of events? I didn't manage to make it to any of them in the end thanks to work and other boring things!
