Thanks all especially old and rusty for looking up the information in the s12 bible for me
. Ordered the KYB's ( £41 + vat each is that a good price?) and will be putting 288 cc (i can't think what an imperial fluid ounce is!) of ATF in the front shock tubes. Next thing is a dyno session once i get some ethanol for the water injection and an adjustable cam pulley made up.

You`re welcome mate, any time.
I had the manual close by, so it only took a couple of minutes to find. I still don`t know what a fluid ounce is though...LOL.... (I will have to google it later) .If you need anything else looking up, just give me a yell. Regards, Ian.

The Imperial fluid ounce is 1/160 of an imperial gallon or 1/20 of an imperial pint or 8 fluid drams, about 1.734 cubic inches or 28.41 millilitres.[1] This volume of water weighs very nearly 1 avoirdupois ounce (it is the volume occupied by one ounce at 62 °F (16.7 °C), weighed in air with brass weights).

The avoirdupois (IPA: [ˌævərdəˈpɔɪz]; French:[avwar'dypwa]) system is a system of weights (or, properly, mass) based on a pound of sixteen ounces. It is the everyday system of weight used in the United States. It is still widely used by many people in Canada and the United Kingdom despite the official adoption of the metric system, including the compulsory introduction of metric units in shops. It is considered[citation needed] more modern than the alternative troy or apothecary or the medieval English mercantile and Tower systems.

Nope don't think so, and I couldn't be arsed to measure the length of the S12 shocks compared to S14. S13 ones may be the right length but mine just appeared pretty short to me though.
