Default New windscreen

having one fitted tomorrow, £138 + VAT from budget windscreens.

fooking MOT, the crack was just too high to lift the wipers that high, would have need to extend the windscreen off the side of the car with a bit of perspects lol

thats coz you MOT lot MOT each others car to make sure they pass.

i dont have that luxury, the crack is bout 3 inches above the winscreen wiper, they are fitting it tomorrow anyway as it leaks a little and has the top rubber missing, so they gonna replace it.

other than that, the horn wasnt working, but i looked at it today and the relay was rusted and full of water (so thats why the TWIN horns were sounding at 3am when it was raining a few months ago oops)

the track rod end was on advise last year, so im guessing it will not be good this year.

if only you was closer, i would get it done by you. i much rather knowing the person MOTing it as it is explained better, the guy i used to use, i got on well with, but he retired, the guy i use atm is also on about retiring soon, so as you are young, you could see mee soon. or if you are cheap enuf :P i will come to you this year.

I guess you're not fully comp with your insurance then.

I had mine replaced on my N13 last year for £50, and they came out to me and did it.

Same reason, tiny fook crack

no im TPFT i cant really complain, the crack isnt small, it comes up 6 inch in the center of the screen, then goes directly across to the tax disc.

its just money i could have done without paying out

screen looks deffo right one, tis a pattern, but just as good, its actually for the later mk2 i think as mine dosnt have a stick on the screen mirror, i assume the mk2 does.

Budget windscreens : 01708 631000 they do have a national freephone number, look it up on yell.com

screen code : "5963ABL" the B= blue tint so i guess G for grey, they dont have the S12 listed on there system, but that is the right code, as i just ripped it off the screen before he fitted it.

noone actually said they could be sure it was an s13 one they had fitted, nor was anyone able to check an s13 one against an s12 one.

so i gave up and had this one fitted

Well I checked and I found an S13 screen to be like 4" wider. Could have been the beer talking.
