![]() dont you need to have both surfaces skimmed for the use of a copper one??? or dont it make much difference to a normal one, just they hold the high compression better?? that pic is of the one that blew, hhmmm clearly ![]()

Looks like it may be a common problem on ca18et`s.
When I first got my s12 (many years ago), the head gasket had blown in exactly the same place ![]() Regards, Ian.

No.3 runs the hottest out of the cylinders so is most likely to be the one that kills the head gasket or the cylinder to get the most detonation damage

yeah,i think you need to have the block and head skimmed to use a copper gasket.
