There are many options. Ball and spring manual controllers are the prefered after the electric solenoid ones like you have. Depends what people have lying around or easily available to use.
Good useful thread to a new s12 owner :-) Also fit an aftermarket boost guage before trying to set up your boost pressure increase. Try getting one in psi showing 1psi increments as this will be the most clear to read and setup in my opinion.

I've seen many pics for how fit a MBC:
![]() In this pic, the hose which go to the intake, is the intake manifoild or turbo manifoild? I'll fit a dump valve single piston. so am i better off paying around £10 for a bleed valve, or getting a mbc of ebay for around £25

the bren device mbc is good,goes for around £10-£30 secondhand or about £43 new from apex
