Without declaring the mods you wont be truly covered for all instances, so your paying to be not insured.

If you smash into a bus stop and its shown that the accident wouldn't have happened to the same level or degree without the modifications then you won't be covered.
Insurers used to not pay out even if you didn't tell them about a cone air filter, but now the mods need to be accountable for the severity of the accident. So if you have a small prang its not going to make any odds but anything that would have been worse by the modifications make it a different story. Your risk, but I would ask for a quote for the additional mods to see what they increase it by. Also goes for theft too, the mods will make it more likely to be nicked. Its just that in my eyes you're paying money not to be truly insured.

You Are Not Insured If You Do Not Declare Your Mods! You Have To Go To An Insurance Company That Does Special Mods Insurance. Trust Me If You Have An Accident And Injure Someone You Could Face Some Very Severe Concequences! Try Sky Insurance
