My s12 must be a "posh one" then . Because the lights in my door cards do work . Or at least they did the last time I put a battery on her .
Regards,
Ian.

my door cards have lights too, they worked up untill a few weeks ago, i know they have +12v coz i have little flashing LEDs in the top of the cards to look like alarm (previous owner put them on) and they still work, so i just gotta trace a break somewhere.

Good luck finding the break. Personally, I would rather change a gearbox than fault find electrics . Wiring can be a real nightmare, I hate electrics....LOL.....
I`m pretty sure that the wires leading to the door card lights have a conduit though, so the break might be further back in the system.
S13eater are your lights working now ? We must have jinxed them, with talikng about them ...LOL...
Regards,
Ian.

well seeing as none of the lights come on, it must be quite and early break, like beween both pin switchs and where it branches of to both doors the dash and the interior light.

i enjoy fault finding, tis a challenge tbh

Tbh, I used to enjoy fiddling with the electrics on older cars, like my old Mk2 Escort. But more advanced motors seem to be a lot less accessible, talk about wiring spaghetti...LOL...
Hope you manage to sort it out .
Regards,
Ian.

my car before this was a mk2 escort, was fun tbh, very simple with only 7 fuses for the whole car

plus relays for the spotlights and split charger (had a second Batt in the boot)
