![]() Garrett harp on about cooling their turbo's. I can't see how much effect cooling a turbo with 90 deg water does but if Garrett recommend it for their turbo's then thats probably what you got to do. Do you spin your turbo up? I think its great how they can even spin up by blowing in to them ![]()

There was a bit of an issue ordering the piston rings which took time to resolve. Having to use a hybrid of Mazda 323 and CA18DE rings. Using Totalseal gapless rings.
I've not been exactly pro-active on much though. Just not motivated one bit.

I have said before that the water lines on a t25/8 are not essential but i have seen you do track days which is very stressfull for any car so really you should fit them ,
if your on increased boost on a t2 its going to run extremely hot and your performance and turbo life will suffer. The water lines are partly there to reduce heat transfer from the exhaust housing to the compressor housing They also aim to reduce the temperature of the oil circulating the turbo so that it lubricates more efficiently

I ditched mine off my spare s12 that i was running and it worked fine, it wasn't untill the turbo started burning gallons of oil that i couldn't drive it..... I came up with an idea a couple of days later and hammered the oil feed flat so no oil could get to the turbo got a 2 months extra use and the turbo started siezing after about 1 mile

![]() The t25 on the 200sx I bought had the water lines removed when I bought it and the tubby had done 20,000 miles without any problems. But I guess, track use is a different story. Regards, Ian.
