i didnt have titanium retainers but the walkers engine had originally. i believe Oselli Engineering did most of the engine work on that car and made them as one-offs. cant iamgine how much they would have cost

Last ET throwing a rod I can remember is Eddie Ratdats in a Nissan Parie, actually that threw two rods, but it was ragged hard, can't rember if it was a mk1 or 2 lump though.

This is my second engine running 205 at the wheels and now 212 at the wheels on a bar of boost revving it to in between 6500rpm and just under 7000rpm and touch wood its been fine,The guy who mapped used to hit the limiter coming down the box!!! it did strip the thread on the allen headed bolt at the back end of the cam. Any engine i have built up on the silvys ,have never seen any signs of weak rods etc but i have put holes in a couple of pistons in the old days, the cause was a nipped fuel pipe under the fuel filter or too much boost lol, Guy called David used to be on here had 200 ish at the wheels and 100 shot of nitrous
![]() ![]() Would be interested to see how much power the rods would take ??? ![]() ![]()
