mine did this sort of thing when the fuel pressure reg was fubbered.
thats the only experience i have of running rich so far.

We changed the FPR but its still the same....loosing patience here with this and looking at putting a pinto into it !!

what about if the water temp sensor, don't they run rich if its reading the engine as cold.or maybe the air flow meter,have you got spares to swap about ?

over the years ive had dodgy distrib/distrib cap and poor earth to coil. cranked fine and injectors primed fine, but weak/no/intermittent spark so smelt and looked like overfulleing when was actually undersparking lol

We have checked for feed at injectors and found both terminals to be constantly live and not pulsing.....what gives them the signal to fire ? Stephanie |
