Definitely interested, I was planning on buying some Teins for an S13 or 14 and modding my S12 to make them fit.
What is the plan for the springs tho? Are they staying in the same place as the stock ones, because there is very little room to mount them over the shocks in a typical "coil over shock" layout? |

Hey guys,
ok looks nice that there is some interest! wel regarding the technical solution in detail, that step is coming up next. My plan would have been, to take existing S13 Front dampers (this would save a lot of money compared to doinga custom S12 one). As i am quite new to S12s, and have not done the S13 Fr conversion yet (would have done it together with the Tein susp), i did not know, that there are some issues using the S13 ones. All discussions relating to this topic did not mention any issues. But as i also posted this info about Tein SPD..... in the US and Aussie forum, i got some response in Australia, the S13 dampers being not ideal! Any comments on this from you guys? For the rear i plan to keep the existing setup. Also to keep necessary mods to a minimum! Sorry, don't know anything about s13 fronts, I've done the usual "Home made" coil over S12 front conversion, but modified the internal pistons with my own shim stack.
If you are keeping the rears with the spring and shock in the original position what are you doing for springs, and will they be height adjustable as a normal coilover would be? |

Ok so maybe anyone else can make some statement on front S13 mod?
Well i really really want to ban theat front spinbdle design! PLUS: together with S13 carrier, the was to Z32 brakes is free!, same as 5 lug for the people who want to. So imo Front S13 is the way to go. Also if we end up with a custom made Front damper fitting the S13 wheel carrier, but still being different to the S13 spec (length e.g. etc) Well the rear will be definitely height adjustable! just checkout the megan racing design. Just much better quality ![]() No offence to Megan, but i do not like this made in china stuff! like D2 etc. about spring rate and all the other stuff, i need to first measure all the influencing parameters such as cornerweights, ride height at 1G and 0G, fdamper travel, oem spring rates etc. etc. etc. but this will take some ztime for yure, as i have some work to do also besides ![]() The first point is getting a price estimation from Tein. Then we will see what regions we are going to, and if it will end up in 10 sets, or a one off ![]() all the technical details are not influencing the costs in a highly manner (except maybe the qurestion S13 spec front strut or custom design) cheers Michael |

Gaz will make dampers to your spec if you get in contact with them and if you can give them a damper to work from so much the better it's an option I've been looking at.
