I agree with 30psi.
I've had a number of cars pass MOT's no problem without rear seat belts if the rear seats aren't there. Don't worry about it. ![]() |

I agree with Lincolnlad, I was told a few years ago that if I left my bald tyred spae wheel in the car they would fail it, if I took it out they would have nothing to fail.
On a side note, my everyday car was due for mot and insurance at the start of Feb, i insured with Kwikfit (the cheapest I found) and got a free MOT as well. I booked it in and they failed it on the rear discs and pads, then quoted me £263. I had got a quote the day before as I knew they were ready for £55 from the local factors. I immediately took it half a mile down the road to a place that do loads of trade mots every day and after paying £40 within an hr I had a new MOT. a lot of this MOT stuff is rubbish and it is in the opinion of the tester to pass or fail, not wishing to dismiss safety here but you get my drift. |

I've no rear seat but the belts are still in and frayed but it still passed the MOT as the tester said he couldn't test the belts as it was pointless as there were no seats. It all depends on the tester.

the MOT didn't come back with anything regarding the seatbelts, it failed but only with
really dim rear number plate lights Front right arch needs a bit of filler as it's abit rusty and jagged ( lol....typical for it's age. ) Needs 3 new tyres And the handbrake tightened up. but on the way back to the house I noticed this extra whistling.....to my amusement my boost controller piping had split and burst.....lucky I only did a few miles before checking it out. Mind you it was an old piece of silicone piping and we've had upto and over -20oC in scotland recently so thats the reason. ![]() ![]() anyway I've been given a positive it'll pass next week aslong as I do my bit to get the lights and filler sorted. ![]() |
