I have converted a auto silvia into a manual and the only difference i found was the neutral/park sensor, basically a safety device meaning the engine cant be started in a drive gear on the auto box/shifter, all i did was wire it to a switch and it can then also become a discreet immobiliser.

Thats a cracking idea - thanks for that. I've now got the engine fitted (fits a treat) so just need to make some mounts and sort the wiring out.

Reliant did it to ther SS1 / sst / ti / sabre sports car from 86 onwards.
Less restrictive exhaust too, goes like s...... and handles too

I've actually already been in contact with the Reliant club and they have been very very helpful and sent me a disc full of wiring diagram info / service manual info etc. I've now got all the parts I need so will soon be putting everything together - watch this space :-)
