Default fuel pump to tank 'O' ring

Anyone have one of these they can measure for me??? its the big one that sits under the plate that bolts onto the top of the tank that holds the fuel pump and gauge sender, i need to change mine as it is fubber and stretched, but nissan want £11 plus VAT for it, i have an 'O' ring supplier at the end of my road, but need measurements for size.

I need Overall Dia and thickness.

Cheers.

Problem is as soon as you take the lid off the rubber seal is released and most certainly have stretched!. Try measure the underside of the lid.

I've swapped out a stock fuel pump before and this is what I remember if it helps any. The O ring is of a cylinder shape. I guess the best way to describe it is an air tube that one has on the water. It fits into a nice little circular groove. Problem is when I did mine, it was 'too' big and immediately seemed impossible to get back into place. I had to put it together using a flat head screw driver to push it into place inside the groove hoping that I wouldnt disrupt the circle on another side. So as far as I'm aware, best idea is to measure the diameter of the groove that is under the top plate of the fuel pump assembly.

Hope that helps you.

cheers beany old boy, hows the low mobile, still catching on the cats eyes?? lol, i just remembered that bonnet, do you still have it?? if so ill have to get to you and get it, ill have the 'O' ring off you then if you like, obviously if you still have that too.

mine was stretched when i removed mine, couldnt get it back in, so i cut it to make fit, but sometimes i can smell fuel at the back, and wonder if thats allowing some gasses to escape.

yep, gave me £850 for it back in march.

this is the new one, just painted it and waiting on some bits to bring the front down another 10mm, not as low as the passat though but it'll do
