as we are on the subject is there any advantage of fitting a crankcase breather filter on the rocker cover, and blanking off where it goes to the intake duct, or is it better left as it is????

It is beneficial but it will idle like a dog if your rings are worn

well ive pulled the oil cap off with it running before and it doesent seem to blow out too much, dident notice it change the idle either, its done 98K and seems alright i'll get one if theres one on ebay cheap

mebbe a good idea to check the front wheel arches for rust too.. the wings are quite thin
