mate of mine had cross drilled discs on his mazzy 6 mps, said they cracked. is that a common thing with cross drilled discs?

They are on a spare set of shocks I've got and are used, never used them myself.

I can see the ebay ad now!
Gay disc brakes, says 'hello sailor' with rainbow calipers . . . do you think Kimble might like them?

IIRC Black Diamond still list front and rear brakes but they're not cheap either. I plan to go for S14 calipers and either S13 or 14 discs and uprated rear S12, or Z31 turbo if I get lucky.
Whicheither way you go, it ain't going to cheap. That's what you get for driving a high performace, 1980s sports coupe

The grooved ones I got off ebay have been fine with red stuff pads.

i might just get the engineering firm behind us to put grooves in the std discs. they've got a new cnc machine they're itching to play with so... :P

i ran a set of rotor's on my honda accord and after about 3000 miles they cracked thought in 2 places on each disk.......

yes shuan, i had them. they were miss - alined, gave bad vibration when at speed, they look different, the part some may say, they stopped ok & gave me good service, again, apart from being drilled wrong, so they sat wrong at the hub. i got vibration from normal driving. i woudnt look at drilled to be fair, its a starting point for cracks & stresses. just groved & vented are best.
