Well got car home.
Given it a service seems to run ok now won't know for sure till I take it out a run.

But am still confused as to what fuel i should be using.
According to the owners manual it says it. Unless fitted with a cat it shoul be run on Leaded fuel and auto data says the same. Altho you've all told me to run on unleaded.
I know this question is probally annoyin everyone but its buggin me I'm just confused.

Thanks
M.T

Most Nissans I've seen have a sticker on the inside of the fuel filler door. I'd expect it to read 97ron unleaded. Mine does, the B12 sunnies with the N/A 16vs I've seen do, as do the Bluey Turbos I've seen. Never know a CA to run leaded.

From what my father has told me there was a high octaine leaded fuel on sale as well as the lower run of the mill stuff am just a tad confused. I done want to burn my valve seats but if everyones runnin 97 ron unleaded with no problems then ill follow Suit.

I have the same sticker on the inside of my filler flap. Just wanted a second opinion thanks for the help guys .

matey, i've had 13 silvia's over the last 12 years, japster and silviagod have had many s12's as well and for longer than me, they will all tell you that they are fine on 97 octane and 95 octane if you don't boot it,i did 45k on my 305bhp silvia, it was fine and not valve wear , as long as you get your afr and timing right, then you will be ok,leaded and 5 star is real old school, rover 2.2tc springs to mind lol, most people on hear know there onions and you won't go far wrong mate,

Seriously bro, nobody on here will give you bad info. This forum is a small but informed group of serious enthusiasts who for the most part have owned and run their cars for years.I've never met any of them but I would take their advice as gospel and my car has 286ponies
