Default New Clutch?

We burnt out the standard clutch last week drifting at santa pod, please can anyone tell me of a decent replacement clutch? The engine has full 2.5inch exhaust, MBC and saab intercooler.

I've read around here and a few other sites and am I right in thinking the S13 has the same clutch so I can use one mean't for them?

Just read the Buying a clutch section and the APex Performance link, I noticed the comments about s13 having different bearings or something in another section, will the S13 Exedy paddle clutch just fit straight on my s 12 or will I need to do other mods?

Does anyone know the increased torque the Exedy will handle, I found a Competition Clutch kit and that says it will handle up to 250% of the stock torque and for the sake of another £30 I'm tempted by that one?

Or am I flapping about nothing, will the Exedy one be more than enough?

Thanks for the various replies, I now ordered a Exedy 5 paddle sprung kit from Driftworks for a CA18DET (hope it fits!!), they reckon it will happily deal with the abuse! I'll post on how it does!!

Some people have suggested lightening the flywheel, is this worth the hassle when I don't really know what I am doing anyway?!? Or should I just leave it as is?

i would get it lightened and balanced, plus have it skimmed, you will get better response and its always best having the sufaces skimmed.

Got the new clutch on yesterday, getting the damn gearbox back on was a ballache!! It feels great, I'm going to put the boost back up at the weekend and see what happens but for now it runs great, nice to have it back on the road. I left the flywheel as it was as it looked in good condition and couldn't be arsed to have it off the road any longer!
