yes i will be fitting a piper cam aswell. As you say it aint worth the vernier without the cam. As long as your happy to do it i would be very gratefull. It would just be nice to see what she can do on the rollers. I have my big bar and plate intercooler, the only thing i dont have is a tubby yet and i am not sure at all which one to get. Shaun seems well pleased with his t34, but he will probably be pushing a lot more power than me and im wondering whether it would be too laggy on mine.

Ideally i would like a variable vane jobby. They are dammed expensive but if it does the job its worth saving. No lag and big end power! heaven!!! They have only developed a t28 at the moment and are in the process of a bigger development turbo.

OK well we'll have to talk nearer to the time after you've bought the necessary bits.

As for a turbo I would like to replace mine with a GT28RS. Although some turbo's judging by their name ie T3,T4 etc you would assume some are larger than others whats more important is the correct a/r ratios.

For example a T28 off a skyline has a very low a/r ratio due to the fact it is essentially designed for a 1.3 engine.

Have a word with turbo technics and ask them for an opinion on a turbo for your engine where you want to aim for 300bhp.

i know the guy well who has the protoype TT t28 variable vane. The rest of the car is driveable but not mapped properly yet. He says that when you boot it in any gear below 3k, that smoke pours off the rear tyres! more like a v8 torque low down than DET. Will let you know more when hes got it running or ive blagged a run in it
