Default rear coilover idea?

Has anyone ever tried this type of rear coilover spring and strut before?

ive heard its a pain converting regular coilovers to the unwilling rear s12 top mounts. So would this idea be better??

Just like the 350z set up?

yeah they are height ajustable, can't you see the threaded tube ? just weld some 4mm thick tube over where your std spring sits, then weld a top on the tube, then weld the threaded tube to the top.
