Default s13 rad into an s12

Would it work? Seems to be shedloads of s13 parts around but sod all for the s12. Im facing either an expensive re-core of the standard rad (£130 ) or an aftermarket alloy item for a similar price. So logic says go aftermarket alloy for better cooling etc but I see s13 alloy rads going rather cheep and wondered about teh fitment. My only issue with a non-standard item is what to do with the little header tank that sits in the wing. Can it be binned?

s13 rads are not as good as s12's rads.i still use the header tank .

and you can get a modded evo intercooler up front as well.

I have an S13 one to fit, but not sure now whether to keep the S12 one in. I do like the idea of a Honda one as they are a lot smaller

but will the honda rad be efficient enough to cool big bhp, looks a tad small to me,with the s14 one you can just get 3 inch intercooler pipes down each side.

Anyone had a look at the 5-series (E60) rads? They've got aircon, pas cooler, intercooler and rad all in one. would be a nice neat setup.

this one is way overpriced but you get the idea:
