Time for some updates
Removed some crusty 'metal'   Can you even call this metal?   And replaced it with new (real!) metal   Painted the engine bay and some other bits and pieces, made some new brake lines and replaced stuff where needed  Before paint    Refurbished brakes and suspension  Suspension driver side, before and after   Suspension passenger side, before and after   Complete package before and after   Next up: engine rebuild Oh and by the way, I love my new brake pads

ca4244@essex, thanks! But, it's not like I had ever done this before (and I'm not in the car business, I'm just a simple IT guy
). But I'm just really interested in cars (especially Jap cars) and always wanted to rebuild one (AE86 at first, but this S12 came as the perfect opportunity). So why not give it a try? tim murphy, thanks! bigdaves12, thanks. It's a lot of work taking everyting out and putting it back. And I just can't get it over my heart to put something dirty back in, so I always end up cleaning for hours So what has happened the past weeks - Retape the S12 harness (lots of degrease and tape work  )- Mount the S12 harness - mounting various bits Some pics before/after         Rebuild engine: - new sealings - new bearings (ACL race) - cleaning oil pump - cleaning pistons since I'm using the OEM ones - new piston rings - mounting revised head - mounting inlet and some other various bits Some detail pics of the mid engine & head     As the engine is sitting atm:   Found a perfect set of blue S2000 seats  The color is really spot-on, couldn't suit better with the S12 blue!
