std ET fuel pump 'prime' is a 5second timer, then cuts out. some of the scimitar guys that use ETs and have ECU driven fuel pump issues, wire the pump into and ign live via a crash switch. Pump then runs permamnetly when the ignition is on, but in the event of a crash the 'crash switch' senses big impact and cuts fuel pump

is it recently happened or always been like it? if theres a short to earth it can make the pump run permanently as im pretty sure the ecu switches the earth not positive. On the scimitars the fuel pump cable has a shielding which is earthed one end only (ecu end iirc). if it earths the other end, that can make the pump run all the time
