It seems weird that you are getting the gaskets blowing. I've not had any problems with mine.

Have you tried a different manifold? There must be an unmatched surface on either the head or the manifold, it would be better to solve this then getting copper gaskets made up. You'll be pissed if it don't even solve the problem if the mismatch is too bad.

I have a few manifolds so will take a look but im sure i picked the best one i had when i built it all think the main problem lays within my studs coming loose, im gunna have to helicoil 2 more studs now. I only did 3 when i was building it up as the other 3 were solid. But im gunna use copper gaskets too as there gunna be better than the standard ones.

mine used to melt the top left corner when was being mapped on the RR, but since i've used the copper ones they are fine.

The bottom stud nearest the bulkhead on the manifold became weak as the gasket blew there twice and now its fallen out dont know why this is such a common problem with these heads. Even after i helicoiled 3 of them and used loctite on the threads i still have to nip them up every few days

Just been on the phone to ferriday and im being sent some new gaskets that the guys been testing for a while now. Apparently there 6 mm thick and have been tested to high temps that will stop the heat going back into the cylinder head, so il try them out as there free of charge nad see what happens. If there crap il use the copper ones but i dont mind my manifold being the lab rat for some new and maybe improved gaskets

Shaun did the guy mention these new gaskets to you? Or did you just decline the offer of trial?

6mm seems very thick. Hopefully the nuts can go fully onto the studs (sounds very gay that)

I thought this straight away but im sure theres about 5-6mm thread left after the nuts have gone on using the standard gasket so trial and error is all i can do

i don't think he was doing them when i had my copper ones made, hope they work well matey, if only there where some head bolts out there from ARP, i'd try one of there copper head gaskets and wind the boost up to about 32psi.
